“Having built her career in schools across London, Rebecca is a wonderful champion both for the Federation and for the communities that she has served in her schools.

This honour is not only extremely well-deserved, but it also highlights the amazing and transformative work that school leaders such as Rebecca deliver on a daily basis in terms of raising aspirations, driving social mobility, and never giving up on a school or the young people within it. Rebecca is a wonderful colleague, extremely popular across the Federation and I know that everyone will share her delight in receiving this Honour."

Rebecca Hickey said:

“I feel very privileged to be receiving such a prestigious award, though it is all the remarkable staff and students I have had the pleasure of working with who truly deserve it. So, thank you to Harris Federation for the opportunities, challenges, and collaboration; accelerating social mobility through education has and will continue to be my aim.”
